Scholarship Info

This scholarship was created to memorialize the life of Boise Trails Challenge creator Jason Delgadillo. This $2,000 scholarship is open to all Boise Trails challenge participants seeking higher education at an accredited school. The funds must be used during the school year directly following the scholarship fund. Funds may not be deferred or held for later use.

Open to all Boise Trails Challenge participants who are seeking further education. Applicants will need to have graduated high school or completed GED requirements prior to the June 18, 2026 start date, and are planning to enroll or are currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, technical or trade school. Applicants will need to complete at least 50% of the 2026 Boise Trails Challenge in the allotted timeframe. This $2,000 one-time scholarship is not renewable, but applicants and scholarship winners can reapply each year. Application requirements and access to the form can be found here. The submission deadline is July 28, 2026. A committee will select the recipient(s). Winner(s) will be notified and announced at the Boise Trails Challenge after party. 

To apply, interested candidates are required to complete the online form here. Please note that in order to upload necessary documents, applicants are required to sign-in with a Google account. As part of the application, you will need to provide:

• Personal information
• Boise Trails Challenge user name
• High school info
• Post-secondary education
• High School diploma or GED OR most recent secondary education transcript
• Personal statement

In order to be selected for the scholarship, you must be a registered Boise Trails challenge participant seeking further education and complete at least 50% of the 2025 Boise Trails Challenge.

The deadline for submitting your application is July 28, 2026 at 11:59pm MST.

Applicants will be notified of the selection committee’s decision by July 30, 2026. The winner(s) will be publicly announced at the Boise Trails Challenge after party.

If awarded, Boise Trails will forward a check directly to the institution for credit to the student’s account.
